It's not too early. . .

It's not too early. . .

I hate to tell you this but there are only 71 days until Christmas! Have you started working on your holiday projects yet? I'll be sharing ideas for you over the next couple of months, but here are some to get your juices flowing.

This cowl is super cute and simple. The Low-key Cowl from Elizabeth Smith is a great project for knitters of any level. And of course we love that it's knit with Rios, which is just a perfect yarn for gift knitting. And I'm not going to tell you that you shouldn't make one for yourself while you're at it.

The Bumble Cowl from Tin Can Knits is another cute cowl that comes in a variety of sizes and yarn weight options. You'll need a semi-solid or solid color and a self striping or variegated yarn for this project. We think it would be really nice in Seis Cabos from Malabrigo and Reggae Ombré from Schoppel-Wolle, so we've put some kits together to make it easy for you.

My Cabled Rib hat is a quick and easy knit that comes in 3 different sizes. You can make at least 2 hats out of 1 skein of yarn. Tributary DK or Tributary Tidal DK are both great options for this hat.
The beautiful Tide and Slough shawl, designed by my friend Andrea Hilton, has been getting a lot of attention in the shop. It's such a lovely, wearable shawl and it's designed to be knit with our River Silk and Merino yarn from Tributary Yarns. You'll need 2 skeins of the River Silk for this shawl. If you start now, you could easily get this done before the holidays.

My Humboldt Fog shawl is a fun, single skein project that you'll end up knitting again and again. You can use a single 100-gram skein in a fingering weight to an Aran weight for this project. The pattern tells you how to adjust your needle size. I like it best in fingering weight yarn and it's especially nice in our Stream Sock from Tributary Yarns. The pattern is available on our website.

For crocheters the Kelli Bias Scarf from Toni Lipsey is super cute! You could choose a few skeins of fingering weight yarn or use a selection of mini skeins. Camper from Kelbourne Woolens would be a great option for this project.
All of the patterns for these projects are available in the store and all of them except for the Humboldt Fog shawl are available on Ravelry. Please reach out if you need help picking out yarn or colors!
