Holiday gifts to start now!

I have ideas for you for gifts you can make for your loved ones. You still have plenty of time to get these done for the holidays.

Here are the project ideas. Let's start with hats. Hats are such a great gift project. They're quick, fun to make and useful

The Sava Springs Cap by Shelby Nichols is a really pretty cabled hat. I made this one with Seis Cabos for a store sample and I really love how it turned out. Seis Cabos is a perfect yarn for this project because it has such great stitch definition. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry. We have lots of colors of Seis Cabos in stock.

Another cabled hat that I like a lot is the Cabled Rib hat designed by me! This is an easy cable pattern and it knits up quickly in a DK weight yarn. I love it in our Tributary DK but if you need a superwash option, it works well in our Tributary Tidal DK or Malabrigo Rios. The pattern is available on our website, in the store or on Ravelry.

The Rhinebeck Hat from Woolly Wormhead is a really interesting design using short rows. We have this pattern in kits from Polka Dot Sheep. The hand dyed colors that they put together are beautiful and make it easy to grab one and get started. Check out all of the color options on our website.

Cowls are another great project for gift giving. They're also quick to make and so cozy.

The Murano Squares bandana from Susan Ashcroft looks like a super fun project to make. You'll want either a variegated and solid or a self-striping and solid yarn for this project. We just received a shipment of Entropy DK from Feederbrook Farm which is perfect for the self-striping yarn and then you could use Malabrigo Rios or Littoral DK for your solid or semi solid color. The pattern is available in the store or on Ravelry.

Sonatine from Dee O'Keefe is a lovely design that would be very easy to wear. You can really play with your yarn options here. You could do this cowl all in one color or use two subtle colors or use a variegated or speckled yarn for the main color and a coordinating solid for the lace section. I'm going to recommend our Tributary DK for the subtle options and our Tributary Tidal DK for a variegated and tonal option. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

The Oats cowl from Tin Can Knits is a super simple design that comes in two sizes. This cowl would be perfect in our Tributary Worsted yarn. The hand dyed colors will give this cowl wonderful visual interest and it's super soft. The pattern is free on Ravelry. Check out the beautiful colors of Tributary Worsted on our website.

As always, if you need more ideas or help picking out colors, we're happy to help.
