Summer tops and tees to make now!

Summer tops and tees to make now!

Summer tops and tees are a delightful addition to your wardrobe. Whether you are traveling this summer or heading to the Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning, it will feel good to wear something handmade. I've gathered some favorite knit and crochet patterns that are breezy, flattering and fun to make.

First up is the Yume sweater from Isabelle Kraemer. I think you'll appreciate that this pattern has options for long or short sleeves. The simple yoke design makes this a top that will never go out of style. I'm recommending Eco Twist from Queensland Collection for this sweater. The blend of Eco Vero viscose, cotton and linen will make this top work for summer and fall. You can find the pattern in the store and on Ravelry.

The French Marigold top by Mona Zillah was recommended to me by a customer. I think it's such a pretty design and again, you could easily adjust the sleeve length. I'm recommending Shoreline Sport for this top. Shoreline Sport is one of my most favorite yarns for summer projects. It's a gorgeous blend of Merino, silk and linen. We have it in a lot of beautiful colors. You can find the pattern in the store and on Ravelry.

Speaking of Shoreline Sport - I know that last week I said that I was going to make the Tolsta Tee this month but after double checking the gauge, I decided that Ida from PetiteKnits will be a better pattern for the yarn. I'm going to use the colors Au Naturel and Riptide and then I'm going to pretend that I'm in France when I wear this top! We can meet at the local bakery for a croissant and cafe au lait. What do you think?! The pattern is available on Ravelry and in the shop.

The Suri Shirt by Caidree is a super simple design that I think would work really well in a self striping yarn. Summer Socks from Laines du Nord is a cotton blend yarn that comes in some really fun colors. It would be a great option for this top. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

For crocheters, the Sweetpea Top by RSachel Misner is a lovely design that would be pretty in Pima Soft from Berroco.  I love the all-over lace design of this top. The Ravelry listing says that it's a fairly easy pattern. It's available on Ravelry.

Let me know if you decide to make any of these tops and if you need help picking out yarn!
