New Year, New Projects!
This time of year at Yarn we see a lot of people coming into the shop who want to start a new project. We love to help you find the perfect project and the perfect yarn for your project. Here are some fun ideas for projects to start right now.

If you've been following my weekly Facebook Live videos, you'll know that I am currently a bit obsessed with Intarsia colorwork. The Make Myself Flowers vest by Vexnot Studios is what got me started on this obsession. I think this vest is so cute and will be fairly quick to make. The pattern calls for 2 strands of yarn to be held together. Mota from WoolDreamers and a strand of one of our Mohair and Silk blends would be perfect. You can find the pattern on Ravelry.

The Amy Sweater by PetiteKnit (available on Ravelry) is perfect if you're looking for a simple but cozy sweater. I love the turtleneck and cropped length of this sweater. I'm recommending either Seis Cabos from Malabrigo or Littoral DK for this project.

My Jose Hood would be great to wear on chilly morning walks. I love how simple this design is and that you can wear it as a cowl or a hood. I'm recommending Berroco Ultra wool held with a strand of mohair for extra coziness for this project. The pattern is available in the shop and on Ravelry.

I've shared this pattern before but I'm sharing it again because I'm currently knitting it for myself. The Mystic Square top by James N. Watts (on Ravelry) is super fun to knit and I'm excited to wear it once the weather warms up a little. The designer recommends using Noro yarn. You could use either Silk Garden or Ito for this project.

And wow! This Grid Gambit cowl by Samantha Guerin sure is pretty! The pattern is available in the shop and on Ravelry. This cowl uses the Mosaic colorwork technique which is an easy way to do colorwork. I'm recommending Entropy DK and Littoral DK for this project. Let me know if you want help choosing colors!

For crocheters, this Painted Roses blanket by Sandra Paul (on Ravelry) is gorgeous! If you have a baby blanket to crochet or if you like the Grannycore design aesthetic, this blanket would be perfect! I'm recommending Vintage Baby and Madrona DK for this project. You can mix and match between those two yarns to get a fun color palette for the blanket.
