New yarn and new project ideas!
Hey all, the world feels extra stressful and chaotic right now, so I hope you are finding ways to find calm and to comfort yourselves. I know that I've been craving spending time with friends and loved ones and wanting to KNIT a lot! We've been getting some new yarns in the shop that I wanted to share with you. I have some pattern suggestions for these yarns as well.

Madrona DK is new in the shop. It is a beautiful yarn from Hi Koo. It is a soft and drapey blend of baby alpaca, Merino wool, bamboo and nylon. Because it's washable and soft, it works well for projects for babies and kids but it's sophisticated enough for adults too. Here are some pattern ideas for this yarn.

The Tincture hat from Andrea Mowry has a really pretty Mosaic colorwork design. Madrona DK would make this hat extra soft and cozy. The pattern is available in the shop and on Ravelry. You will need just one skein of each color for this fun hat.

As you can see in the photo, Stephen West's Dustland Shawl is stunning in Madrona DK. The pattern is available in the shop and on Ravelry. The slight sheen and the twist on the yarn makes for great stitch definition, which is what you want for this shawl. This is one to cast on right now!

The Anker's Sweater by PetiteKnit is another great idea for this yarn. This design is so classic and wearable, it's never going to go out of style. And it would be extra pretty in Madrona DK. The pattern is available in the shop or on Ravelry.

The other new yarn I want to share with you is CashSilk Cotton Degradé from Laines du Nord. This is a brand new yarn and it is so pretty! It's a luxurious blend of merino, silk, cotton and cashmere. It has a slight halo to it and it has been dyed in an ombré style. This yarn will work for sweaters, tops or shawls. I have some suggestions for you.

Who wants to knit another Ranunculus by Midori House?! The pattern works in almost any yarn but I think it will be especially pretty in the CashSilk Cotton Degradé. The pattern is available on Ravelry.

This might seem like a little bit outside the box but I really think that this yarn would look great in a super simple design like the Rib Lace Raglan from James N. Watts. The color change and fuzziness of the yarn would work really well in this pattern. What do you all think? The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

CashSilk Cotton Degradé would be lovely for the Rosewater shawl by Janina Kallio. This shawl is so delicate and pretty and I think it would show off this yarn really well. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.
