You've heard of wine and food pairings, how about yarn and project pairings!
Do you need project inspiration? Would you like to try out a new yarn? I've got ideas for you!

First up - if you haven't heard yet - it seems like everyone is making a Melt the Ice hat. We've been getting red yarn in and then selling out of it again every few days. We have lots more red yarn on the way and we will be dyeing more as well. If you want to make a Melt the Ice hat and need the pattern, we will buy it for you. You can check out what red yarn we have on hand by clicking here or on the "Red Yarn" link inn the menu at the top of the page.

If you're looking for a quick and fun project, how about these Magic of Spring mitts from Knitted Wishes? You'll get to practice your stranded colorwork technique while making a sweet pair of fingerless mitts. Camper from Kelbourne Woolens is a great option for this project. We have lots of colors in stock right now. This yarn has been super popular in the store. It's a great price, comes in lovely colors and is a nice, soft, non-superwash wool. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

I recently finished another of my Humboldt Fog shawls. I used Merino Twist Variegated from Cowgirl Blues for this one. This yarn is super bouncy and soft and the hand dyed colors are fantastic. You just need one skein for the project. These shawls are fun to knit and make great gifts. The pattern is available in the store and on our website.

I think this Whitestripe Slipover is absolutely delightful! The design uses Intarsia technique and 2 strands of fingering weight yarn held together. It's knit in two separate panels and then seamed together. What a fun project this would be! I'm recommending either Camper from Kelbourne Woolens or Uni Merino for this project. Uni Merino is a superwash Merino and nylon blend, Camper is a 100% wool, non-superwash yarn. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

Gianna from Berroco is a yarn that you might not know about yet. This yarn was new last year from Berroco and it's been extremely popular. The chain construction and self-striping colors make it super flexible and fun to knit with. We actually had a trunk show in the shop in December for this yarn. It was fun to see the different knit and crochet projects made with it. A few of my favorites are the Freena Shawl, which uses Entrelac technique, Rea from Alison Green is a really pretty crocheted shawl. Rosaleen is a crocheted bandana style cowl. All of these patterns are available in the store and on Ravelry.
