A Three Sequence Knitting Shawls workshop with Cecelia Campochiaro

$ 75.00

Join guest instructor Cecelia Campochiaro on Friday, October 22, 6-9 pm. Location TBA. Sequence knitting is perfect for making shawls, and this class will introduce three nice ones: Anywhere, Conversing, and Careful. These three shawls are all highly textured, reversible, patterns that can be worked in any gauge or any yarn. They will be beautiful in a luxurious solid, or you can play with scraps, gradients, marls, etc. to make them your own. Bring your stash yarns to class if you want to discuss how you could use them with these patterns.

Pre-requisite: students should be comfortable with knit, purl, cast on, cast off, increasing and decreasing. Supplies: You’ll make three swatches as part of the class. Bring a solid-color, smooth yarn appropriate for swatching, and with appropriate needles. The yarn can be fingering, sport, DK, or worsted weight.

Proof of Covid vaccination will be required to attend this class.

Cecelia Campochiaro appeared on the knitting scene in 2015 with her debut book, Sequence Knitting. Knitting was a causal pastime until she had an ah-ha moment in 2010 and realized that interesting textured fabrics could be created by the simple repetition of a sequence of stitches. This idea evolved and led to her writing Sequence Knitting, which is a reference book about this mindful approach to knitting.
