We are so excited to be a part of Knitted Wit's HerStory Club again in 2021. Each month Lorajean and her team at Knitted Wit will dye a color inspired by a woman (or non-binary, female presenting, life as a woman) who was the first to achieve something incredible. The color for May is called Aloha Oe and is inspired by Liliʻuokalani (1838-1917), who was the first (and only) Hawaiian Queen, and the last sovereign of Hawaii. The color is a beautiful tonal pink which ranges from light to dark in the skein. You can read more about the inspiration behind this gorgeous colorway here. Knitted Wit Sock is a blend of 80% Super Wash Merino and 20% Nylon. Each 4 ounce skein has 400 yards.
