We are so excited to be a part of Knitted Wit's HerStory Club again in 2021. Each month Lorajean and her team at Knitted Wit will dye a color inspired by a woman (or non-binary, female presenting, life as a woman) who was the first to achieve something incredible. The Herstory Color of the Month for October from Knitted Wit is called Veteran Affairs. This color is inspired by Tammy Duckworth who is a decorated veteran of the war in Iraq, and was the first disabled woman to hold a seat in the US House of Representatives, elected in 2012. She moved from the House to the Senate in 2016, and has spent her time in Congress fighting for both Veteran's rights and Family Leave. You can read more about Tammy Duckworth in the Love Letter to her hereKnitted Wit Sock is a blend of 80% Super Wash Merino and 20% Nylon. Each 4 ounce skein has 400 yards.
